Energold has started a new lithium exploration project in Salinas in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The company is employing one of their new modular Ranger, designed and built in-house.
The Ranger rig by Energold is a lightweight, modular rig that maximizes the benefits of portable drilling without sacrificing capacity or performance. The rig can be easily broken down into components that are small and light enough to be carried by hand if needed. This eliminates the need for building roads and reduces environmental impact. The rig is rated for 800 m (2625 ft) in BTW and its heaviest module is only 180 kg (397 lbs).
With the Salinas project, Energold makes a further commitment to the ‘zero-carbon future. According to the company, lithium production will have to increase fourfold in the decade by 2030 in order to satisfy the goal.
